Lengthy name aside, the new model will be the second to bear the Mercedes-AMG name, following the debut of the Mercedes-AMG GT a few months back.

As you probably expect, the Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe 4MATIC represents the top-tier performer in the GLE family. Expected to compete directly with BMW M division, and more specifically the X6 M, The all-new performance utility coupe will be one of the most hotly anticipated models of 2015.
The 2016 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe 4MATIC will get its power from a handcrafted 5.5-liter V-8 engine capable of producing 577 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. That engine will team with a 7G-TRONIC transmission. Behind that powertrain, the performance utility coupe will shoot from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.
Combining the sport elements of a coupe and the raised seating and ground clearance of an SUV, the unique Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S 4MATIC looks to rise to the top of its niche segment in 2015.
