2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet Performance Specs and Features
We simply cannot get enough of these AMG vehicles here at Loeber Motors. After it was announced that there would be 10 additional AMG models arriving on our lot this year, we thought that might be a bit of overkill for the brand, but as we see each one, we are now thinking the more the merrier. The latest vehicle to make its way out of the Mercedes-AMG lab is the 2017 C63 Cabriolet. Since this is an AMG vehicle, the most important things we really care about are the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet performance specs and features.
2017 C63 Cabriolet 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo
Straight from the AMG performance department comes the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that is found under the hood of the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet. This is actually a uniquely designed engine because of where its two turbochargers are placed. Most engines have their turbochargers located on the outside of the cylinder banks, but this 4.0-liter has them positioned between them. This helps to compact the engine’s design and helps lower exhaust gas emissions as well.

Helping the 2017 C63 Cabriolet’s V8 engine achieve these outstanding performance number is an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sport transmission. The transmission can either run at fully automatic or a manual function can be engaged by utilizing the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Thanks to the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes, the driver can adjust the responsiveness and acceleration of the vehicle. There are four different modes to choose from with DYNAMIC SELECT including “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Sport +,” and “RACE.”
Helping the driver and passenger ride comfortable in the vehicle is a AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension. The suspension has three different settings that it can be adjusted to.
