2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet Release Date

With the addition of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet, it’s safe to say that the Mercedes-Benz convertible is back…not that it ever really went anywhere. When we say back, we mean to say that the lineup now includes drop-top versions of the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class in addition to the SLC and SL-Class. That’s right — the 2017 Mercedes-Benz lineup will include five cabriolet options.

While that’s plenty exciting, the real news here is the unveiling of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show. The all-new two door convertible debuted in both C300 and C43 AMG options, but before we delve into the highlights, let’s give you what you came here for.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet Release Date

While no exact date is in place, you can expect the C-Class Cabriolet to arrive in late summer in C300 form, so you can enjoy the new convertible in the heart of Chicago’s summer. A few months later, the Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet will follow. If you want to stay up-to-date its arrival and be among the first to drive it, you can fill out a quick form on our C-Class landing page and we’ll keep you in the loop.

“Our new C-Class Cabriolet is the entry into the world of premium cabriolets from Mercedes-Benz. Sporty and youthful in character and styling, it offers unadulterated open-air driving pleasure all year round.”

All-New C-Class Convertible Engine and Power Specs

Unsurprisingly, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet is mechanically similar to the sedan and coupe. The C300 configuration gets its power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated for 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, which are identical figures to that of the C300 sedan. There may be small and rather insignificant differences between the two in acceleration time and fuel-economy, but prospective buyers can rest easy knowing the new cabriolet is everything you already love about the C-Class

The Mercedes-AMG C43 Convertible will borrow from its sedan and coupe counterparts as well, with its power coming from a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 that generates 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.

The C-Class range has grown quickly in the past year, with the addition of the coupe, AMG C43, and now cabriolet models. The full range of Mercedes-Benz C-Class models will be available on the Loeber Motors when the cabriolet arrives. Stay posted for more details on this all-new C-Class variation.
