Mercedes-Benz recently showed off one of its latest concept models at the Shanghai Auto Show. With the announcement of the Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan, the brand is providing a sneak peek into its plan for the next generation of compact vehicles as well as a new body type.
Mercedes-Benz Concept A Styling
The new Concept A model takes a new spin on sedan designs, offering a surface-focused design based on proportions with less lines and gaps. Designed to showcase a couple-like and dynamic personality with the versatility and utility of a compact sedan. It offers short overhangs and slim cabin that has been offset towards the rear. Other characteristics it shares with sedans is its near vertical C-Pillar, larger side windows and higher beltline.
Its wheel arch design has a muscular look to it, featuring a reduced arch to emphasize its exclusive 20-inch wheels. The light alloy wheels give the car a sporty look and handling.
At the front, the Concept A model offers a striking persona with a self-confident air about it. It features a deep Panamericana grille tilted towards the front and featuring vertical chrome inserts and the iconic star at the center. Its hood is also stretched with Powerdomes. The lower air inlet features a diamond grid structure and dark chrome trim for an eye-catching style.

One of the most unique features of the Concept A model is its stand-out headlights. They feature a striking grid structure inside for an instantly-recognizable look.
