Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Extreme Concept Truck at Chicago Auto Show
The Chicago Auto Show started this past weekend at the McCormick Convention Center, and so far it has been awesome! Mercedes-Benz has quite a few models on exhibit, such as the 2017 E-Class with touchpad steering wheel. What we love about these auto shows is the opportunity to see the creative genius of our favorite automakers with their concept vehicles. Mercedes-Benz has the Sprinter Extreme concept truck on exhibit at the Chicago Auto Show, and we urge you to check it out while it is in town!
Massive Green Exterior
The best way to describe the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Extreme concept truck is that it is HUGE! This vehicle is over 20 feet long, nearly 8 feet tall, and is enshrouded in a swanky shade of green with black and yellow artwork. Also outfitted in that gorgeous green hue are the wheels with contrasting black, and complete with tough tires ideal for off-road excursions.
3-Way Box Ideal for All Hauling Needs
Our favorite exterior component of the Sprinter Extreme is the box, which is capable of carrying 5200 pounds. Not only is the back tailgate able to open, but the sides can as well. A 3-way tipping mechanism allows the truck to release its cargo easily and wherever the driver needs it.
Powerful Engine with Heavy Towing Capabilities
Besides the huge exterior, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Extreme concept truck has a powerful heart under its hood. A 4-cylinder BlueTEC diesel engine, along with an automatic transmission with 7 speeds, gives the Sprinter Extreme the capability to tow 7500 pounds.
Check out and Test Drive Other Mercedes-Benz models at Loeber Motors!
Given the fact that the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Extreme is a concept vehicle, it most likely won’t hit the lots. Don’t let that discourage you though. The chance to exhibit concept vehicles is a great opportunity for automakers to show their creative side and possible component ideas for future production vehicles. In the meantime, feel free to contact Loeber Motors with any questions and to schedule a test drive for existing models. We also hope that you will be able to make it to the Chicago Auto Show, which is happening now through February 21, so you will be able to see the Sprinter Extreme concept truck and other Mercedes-Benz models on exhibit.
