2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Changes and Release Date
For those of you who saw the redesigned 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan and thought “I can’t wait to see that in Coupe form” your long wait is finally over. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe has finally been unveiled and the vehicle is receiving many of the upgrades the Sedan got, including a completely redesigned exterior. Here is everything you need to know about the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe changes and release date.
Prepare for a Larger 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe
One of the biggest changes made to the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is that it will now be bigger than its predecessor. The vehicle’s overall length grows by almost five inches and the width grows by almost three. The wheelbase is also extended by over four inches. This means more room for passengers inside the E-Class Coupe, as well as a more dynamic and eye catching exterior.
Several Exciting Technologies in the 2018 E-Class Coupe
While the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan was the most technologically advanced model yet, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe comes close to matching it. The vehicle comes standard with a beautiful central 12.3-inch high-resolution COMAND display screen, and a second 12.3-inch widescreen display is available for the instrument cluster. Drivers will now be able to fully integrate their smartphone with the E-Class Coupe, and they can also access Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Another new technological innovation that was added to the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is the DRIVE PILOT system. DRIVE PILOT will help the driver avoid potential accidents by sending warnings or even applying the brakes when necessary.
Plenty of Power Under the Hood
Similar to the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe, the 2018 model will once again be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine that produces 329 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft of torque. It is mated to a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission. Together, this powertrain can accelerate the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe from zero-to-sixty mph in just 5.2 seconds.
Underpinning the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is the AIR BODY CONTROL suspension. This system provides one of the most relaxing and comfortable rides of any coupe on the road today and can be customized depending on the type of driving that is being done.
