With the use of a mobile device, passengers will be able to summon the smart EQ fortwo to pick them up at any location. Personalization in the front and along the sides of the vehicle will inform passengers that it is there to pick them up. Thanks to its swarm intelligence, most passengers won’t have to wait very long for their ride to arrive, a far more convenient way than trying to herald a taxi. What could be the most impressive part of the smart EQ fortwo is its ability to save electricity while it charges. By utilizing a 30kWh lithium-ion battery, the vehicle can independently make its way to a charging station while not in use. Cars docked in the power grid are able to feed in the electricity which in turn takes pressure off of the city’s electric grid, and saves the city on electricity. Now, that’s smart!
