Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Extreme Concept Truck at Chicago Auto Show
The Chicago Auto Show started this past weekend at the McCormick Convention Center, and so far it has been awesome! Mercedes-Benz has quite a few models on exhibit, such as the 2017 E-Class with touchpad steering wheel. What we love about these auto shows is the opportunity to see the creative genius of our favorite automakers with their concept vehicles. Mercedes-Benz Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Rumors
Mercedes-Benz is always pushing the limits of what a car can do. That’s been apparent in recent months with the Vision Tokyo Concept and Concept IAA, along with other autonomous cars of the future. While some of the technology in those vehicles may be in a more distance future, recent rumors of a Mercedes-Benz fuel cell vehicle have surfaced.
According to AutoCar, Mercedes-Benz is in the process of working on a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain for the Mercedes-Benz GLC, which is the crossover replacing the GLK. Although the fuel cell has not been confirmed for the GLC, Mercedes-Benz did verify that they are, in fact, working on a fuel cell with the goal of a 373 mile range with the ability to refuel in three minutes. Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo Concept with Hydrogen Fuel Cell
First it was the Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025. Then it was the F 015 Luxury in Motion car. Now, Mercedes-Benz has introduced its third autonomous concept at the Tokyo Auto Show, aptly named the Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo Concept.
The futuristic van is a glimpse into the future, not only with its self-driving capabilities and forward-thinking design, but also with its hybrid hydrogen fuel cell and electric charging system. That combination produces zero emissions over a 600-miles driving range. (more…)
