Jurassic World roared onto the scene with the biggest opening weekend in U.S. history, totaling $208.8 million at the box office. With a superstar cast and incredible special effects, the dino-filled thriller is nothing short of spectacular. But prior to the debut of Jurassic World on the big screen, there was plenty of hype built through trailers, previews, and cross-branded promotions.
One of the most notable of those promotions is with Mercedes-Benz, which plays a fairly prominent role in the film. While the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the focus of the Mercedes-Benz Jurassic World TV ad (scroll down to see it), there are a number of other Mercedes-Benz models that have cameos in the movie. To help you prepare for your trip to the theater or to give you a better understanding of the vehicles you just saw in the movie, here is our complete list of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Jurassic World.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the star of the show, earning it this striking face-to-face print ad with a pretty angry looking dinosaur named Indominus Rex. Bryce Dallas Howard’s character, Claire, gets behind the wheel of the GLE450 AMG Sport Coupe to escape a dangerous situation, maneuvering through the island and attempting to evade prehistoric beasts.
The off-road, military-rooted Mercedes-Benz G-Class appears as one of the park’s fleet vehicles driven by star Chris Pratt, who plays Owen.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6
If there is any vehicle that is capable of matching the speed and tenacity of a dinosaur, it’s the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. This unmistakable 6-wheeled monster is no longer in production in the U.S., as it is being replaced with the G500 4×4², but it will live forever in Jurassic World.
The Mercedes-Benz Unimog is the most unfamiliar Mercedes-Benz you’ll see in Jurassic World since it’s only available overseas. In the movie, the trucks operate as the mobile veterinary units for wounded dinosaurs.
Like all the Mercedes-Benz models in Jurassic World, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is required to do some off-road work. The pictured model is equipped with a protective cage over the front fascia and the side windows, but there are a few different variations of the Sprinter throughout the film.
You can see brief cameos from all these Mercedes-Benz models in Jurassic World in the promo video below.
