Differences in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet Trims
One of the most exciting new vehicles that we have arriving on our lot later this summer is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet. This is the first time that a soft top model has been offered for the C-Class, and we expect it to be an extremely popular option. However, what some may not be aware of yet is that there will be several different C-Class Cabriolet models for shoppers to choose from. Here are some of the key differences in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet trims.
2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet
Starting off the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet lineup is the C300 model. This is essentially the “base” model, but trust us, there is nothing basic about it. The vehicle comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo I4 that turns out 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 9G-TRONIC transmission that will accelerate the vehicle from 0-60 in 6.3 seconds.
Inside, the vehicle comes loaded with some of the best technologies that Mercedes-Benz offers. This includes the power-folding soft top, a Central Controller with a 7-inch touchpad tablet display, a rear view camera, keyless start, DYNAMIC SELECT, power and heated front seats, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, and the mbrace Services.
2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet 4MATIC
This model is essentially the same as the C300 Cabriolet, except that model has rear wheel drive. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet 4MATIC includes the popular four wheel drive system that will send torque to the proper wheels when necessary.
2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet
Now we are getting to the high performance rides. The 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 includes all of the technology features that you have on the C300, but it adds unique AMG styling characteristics, as well as an AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension and AMG Performance 4MATIC. There is also an upgraded 3.0-liter V6 Biturbo engine under the hood. Along with a 9G-TRONIC transmission, this engine produces 362 horsepower and does 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds.
2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet
The second to last trim in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet lineup is the Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet. The main addition here is under the hood, where a 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine rumbles to life with 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This model also adds an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sport transmission. It will make the 0-60 sprint in 4.1 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. This vehicle is rear wheel drive, and includes an AMG mechanical limited-slip differential and 18-inch wheels.
2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Cabriolet
Finally, at the top of the C-Class Cabriolet mountain is the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Cabriolet. This model adds on to what the C63 has, but receives a retuned V8 Biturbo that churns out 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. This allows it to do 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. The vehicle also has an AMG electronic limited-slip differential and 19-inch wheels.
