Halloween 2017 Events and Trick or Treating in Chicago, IL
Halloween’s upon us as we roll in to October, and what better time is there to start getting spooky! Here in Chicago, there are plenty of events and activities for families of all ages to enjoy. Whether you’re dressing up, or taking the kids out to get some free candy, there are plenty of options out there for you to choose from! Here are the best events going on this month for trick or treating!
Kid-Friendly Halloween Events near Chicago in 2017
36th Annual Halloween Hallow
Dates: Oct. 13 – 15
Location: 10925 W La Porte Road, Mokena, IL
Includes carnival rides, hayrides, pony rides, music, treats, contests and plenty of food at the available food court.
Date: October 27, 6pm – 9pm
Location: Community Recreation Center in Schaumberg, IL
Kids enjoy inflatables, crafts, and of course trick or treating, as well as a costume contest, haunted train ride, carnival games and more.
Trunk or Treat
Date: October 27, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Crystal Lake ,IL
Costumed children can “trunk-or treat” and receive candy from decorated car trunks. Also includes hayrides, face painting, a bon fire, outdoor movie and more.
Spooky Zoo Spectacular
Date: October 28
Location: Lincoln Park Zoo
Kids can wear their costumes and trick-or-treat, make crafts and visit a haunted house at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Admission is free.
Date: October 28
Location: Downtown Batavia, 10am – 2pm
Includes trick-or-treating, hayrides, a pumpkin roll, 11:45am parade, farmer’s market and more entertainment.
