Mercedes-Benz Driver Assistance Systems
Mercedes-Benz has been making strides to make driving safer than ever by introducing new Driver Assistance Systems designed to cut down reaction times and make accident avoidance easier. The latest addition to its list of systems is the Intelligent Drive technology added to the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is taking steps towards the future of autonomous driving, and will feature Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist to give the driver more support and keeping the vehicle a safe distance and steering. Additionally, the futuristic model will have Active Emergency Stop Assist and an improved Active Lane Change Assist.
Behind the wheel of the new S-Class, drivers will have an even better view of traffic. It offers an improved camera and radar systems, allowing it to look further ahead than before for other vehicles and potential risks. It will also have a larger variety of map and navigation data including:
- Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
- Active Speed Limit Assist
- Active Lane Change Assist
- Active Emergency Stop Assist
- Active Parking Assist

With the addition of these new features, the vehicle can be more adept at preparing the driver, as well as the vehicle itself for any obstacles faced on the road. Doing so will significantly cut down on reaction times and increase safety on the road. And in the event the driver doesn’t take action quickly enough, the vehicle’s intelligence technology is able to step in and assist.
