2018 New Year’s Resolution for your Car
With the new year finally here, we’re all looking to start off 2018 better than the year before. If you’re looking for a way to better yourself for 2018, there are plenty of ways you can improve your habits behind the wheel! Here are a few ideas for different New Year’s Resolutions for better driving and caring for your vehicle.
Life gets crazy sometimes and it’s easy to forget when exactly you last had your oil changed or checked your tires’ air pressure. For the new year, you can make an effort to be better about keeping track of your vehicle’s regular maintenance. An easy way to do this is keeping a notebook in your glove compartment where you’re able to log when maintenance was performed, and when it should be done again.
Candy wrappers, water bottles, fast food bags and the like all have a tendency to end up on the floor behind the passenger’s seat. For the start of 2018, give the inside of your vehicle a good cleaning, getting rid of all of the garbage, extra clothing, etc. and vacuum it out. Then make a point of keeping it clean. We recommend adding an in-car garbage to your vehicle, which can be easily reached and emptied regularly.

Whether it means waiting for a car to pass where you might have otherwise gunned it through an intersection, practicing safer driving habits can go a long way in your personal health for the year. Being more patient behind the wheel can also reduce stress and help those that suffer from road rage.
