Displayed under the theatre’s marquee, more than 5,000 concert attendees got an up close first look at Porsche’s newest and most anticipated car of the year, the all-new re-designed Cayenne.
Loeber Motors was the official automotive sponsor of the annual children’s hospital charity concert. We treated our guests to a music enthusiast’s dream evening featuring live musical performances from Mary Lambert, Fitz & The Tantrums, and six-time Grammy Award nominee Sam Smith.
“We were thrilled to have the Porsche Cayenne front and center at such an iconic Chicago landmark venue,” said Michael Loeber, president of Loeber Motors. “This new luxury SUV has such incredible mass appeal. Placing it under the bright lights of the marquee in front of Chicago Theatre created a flurry of interest in this new vehicle.”

At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Porsche is introducing two new models to the 911 range: the 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S. These models are the first to combine the classic Targa concept with cutting edge, innovative roof technology. Just like the legendary original 911 Targa of 1965, the new models feature the distinctive Targa roof bar, a movable front roof section, and a wraparound rear window. But unlike the classic 911 Targa, the roof segment can be opened and closed at the push of a button. The fully automatic roof system stows the Targa top behind the rear seats.
Both 911 Targa models exclusively come in AWD version, featuring the wider rear track and body, and the same Porsche Traction Management (PTM), found in all 911 all-wheel-drive models. It is an active all-wheel-drive system that helps to ensure the optimal distribution of drive power for optimum traction in most road scenarios, whether on long straights, through tight corners, or on surfaces with different friction coefficients. The combination of the wide body, the Targa bar, and the wraparound rear window results in an extremely sporty and low-slung profile.
The 911 Targa 4 is powered by a horizontally opposed 3.4-liter 6-cylinder engine with 350 hp. Equipped with the optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Sport Chrono package, the 911 Targa 4 accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and is capable of a top track speed of 174 mph (175 mph with the manual transmission). The 911 Targa 4S delivers 400 hp from its 3.8-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine, and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds when equipped with optional PDK and Sport Chrono package. The 911 Targa 4S is capable of reaching a top track speed of 183 mph when equipped with a manual transmission and 182 mph with PDK.

Wheels and tires transmit the power of a Porsche vehicle from the chassis to the road. They have a huge impact on your safety – especially under cold weather conditions.
Porsche Tequipment winter wheel and tire sets are made with snow, icy, and cold weather conditions in mind. The tire compound in Tequipment winter wheel and tire sets is chemically formulated to help resist hardening due to cold temperatures. This increases our winter tires’ ability to grip while decreasing braking distance compared to summer tires in cold conditions.
Additionally, our winter wheel and tire combinations have been extensively tested by Porsche so the tires will meet Porsche specifications – as indicated by the ‘N’ designation on the side wall.
We offer models of Tequipment winter wheel and tire sets for the 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, and Panamera. With winter around the corner, we recommend speaking with your dealer to learn more about safe cold weather options.
For more information about Winter Wheels and Tires, please visit www.LoeberMotors.com or contact your authorized Porsche dealer.

Porsche celebrated its world debut of the 918 Spyder at this year’s International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany. This model marks a new era for sports car manufacturing as it was built as a plug-in hybrid. The Porsche 918 Spyder is a pioneer for other super sports cars of its kind.
With only 918 to be made, Loeber Motors is honored to be one of the select dealerships to have this incredible vehicle.
The outstanding combination of performance and efficiency is typical of Porsche’s brand. The 918 Spyder dominates with an unprecedented combination of performance and the virtually silent drive of an electric vehicle. It is also able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.8 seconds.
If this vehicle sounds similar to that of a racecar, you’re right. The 918 Spyder was developed by Porsche engineers who build race cars, in cooperation with series production specialists.
The 918 Spyder boasts a quiet and elegant drive when on “E-Power,” efficient when on hybrid mode and sporty and dynamic when on “Sport Hybrid” mode for optimum power sources.
Essentially, Porsche has redefined a new super sports car for a new generation of design. Stay tuned for updates on when this vehicle will make its debut at Loeber Motors!
Porsche has developed a new tire for the Carrera GT in partnership with tire manufacturer Michelin. The new tire once again noticeably enhances the handling of the 1,270 versions of the super sports car built between 2003 and 2006. The new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire, which now replaces the current Pilot Sport PS2 tire on the Carrera GT, brings together the findings of ten years’ worth of tire development to give drivers of the Carrera GT noticeably improved handling, even faster lap times and a more harmonious driving experience overall.

Kris Nielsen, social media director for Soave Automotive Group, hatched a face-off with Matt Staub, a local public transportation advocate, after Staub tweeted that cars are useless compared to public transportation.
When this went down last winter, Nielsen set up a race in which he would drive a car and his Twitter challenger would take the train from Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., to Millennium Park in Chicago- the first one to arrive would win.
An excerpt of the story is below:
“For Soave’s Aristocrat Motors in Merriam, Kan., the race offered the perfect opportunity to highlight the Jaguar XJL’s all-wheel-drive technology. It also was a chance to leverage social media, a growing priority for the dealership group.”
Another unusual social media promotion from Soave Automotive Group’s Kris Nielsen was when he and Justin Meyer, then social media manager for Kansas City International Airport, held a race across Missouri between a Porsche Panamera and a Southwest Airlines jet in 2011.
