What's the difference between the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 and GLE400?
The first thing to consider when weighing your options between the GLE350 and GLE400 is price. The GLE400 starts $11,000 higher than the GLE350, which is no small sum. That said, the GLE400 does bring more to the table in a number of areas, starting with the experience behind the wheel. As the table above indicates, the GLE400 yields 27 more horsepower and 81 more pound-feet of torque. The differences in the two are best experienced with a test drive, but you'll notice the GLE400 gets off the line a little quicker and feels a little more energetic, however both are quite dynamic. Despite the additional power, the GLE400 is just as efficient as its 350 counterpart.
When it comes to equipment, the GLE400 has a number of amenities that aren't standard in the GLE350, however many can be added with equipment packages. The standard features exclusive to the GLE400 include: a rearview camera, navigation, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warnings, 20-inch wheels, multicolor ambient lighting, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, among others.
